Bio

I grew up and still live in a village in Warwickshire. As an only child I would paint and draw for hours. I went on to attend Art College and I achieved Distinctions, but like many women I settled down to have a family. Since I began painting, again I have been overwhelmed and eternally grateful with the positive reception of my work.

Art for me is an emotional release, a connection with something beyond my senses. I use my skills, knowledge and instinct to guide me. I paint with a degree of spontaneity creating images as a kaleidoscopic representation of emotional changes within me as I interpret my perceptions of a subject. I use colour, texture, light reflections and detail to explore these ideas and by doing so create a flowing movement across the canvas. I use a verity of media to accomplish a piece, even adding items collected at a scene of inspiration or in my studio, art has no limits and all add a tangible quality to a canvas.
